Airport Emergency Response Planning

This five-day intensive course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively plan for and manage emergencies at airports. The course covers a comprehensive range of topics, including risk assessment, emergency response coordination, and crisis communication. Participants will gain insights into the latest best practices and regulatory requirements, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle any emergency situation that may arise at an airport.

On the first day, participants will delve into the fundamentals of airport emergency planning. They will understand the importance of emergency planning in the aviation industry, identify potential hazards and risks specific to airports, and learn how to develop an effective emergency response plan. The second day focuses on emergency response coordination, where participants will explore the roles and responsibilities of airport personnel during emergencies, learn how to coordinate with external agencies and stakeholders, and implement and manage emergency operations centers. On the final day, the course will cover crisis communication and post-emergency recovery. Participants will gain insights into effective communication strategies during a crisis, media relations and public information dissemination, and post-emergency recovery and continuity planning.
